Retail Banking & Card Services

The Bank has a long history of banking excellence. Its retail service philosophy combines the Arab tradition of hospitality and care with the efficiency and precision of modern technology. The Bank’s mission is to establish itself as the Preferred Neighbourhood Bank providing easily accessible and dependable banking support to people across Emirates.

Complementing its Branch Network are its off-site ATMs. The Bank pioneered the first stand alone ATM in the UAE in 1986 and today customers can withdraw cash and pay utility bills through a network of more than 100 ATMs as well as utilize Point of Sale Terminals installed at a large number of hotels and stores.

Investing in Technology

The National Bank of Dubai has been at the forefront of identifying and investing in new banking technology to support its operations and to respond to the needs of the community services. The bank, together with other UAE banking institutions, played a leading role in introducing SWIFT, the international telecommunications system for sending and receiving financial data. It was among the first banks to join the UAE Switch linking the ATMs of major UAE banks. The Bank launched it’s Web Site in June 1998.

Through out the years National Bank of Dubai has received a number of awards culminating the Bank's highquality performance.

In February 2004, National Bank of Dubai was named Best Foreign Exchange Bank in UAE by Global Finance Magazine.

The success story continued throughout the year. In March National Bank of Dubai was ranked the fourth best bank and the first local bank in the UAE for Private Banking Services in a worldwide survey conducted by EuroMoney Magazine.

In May 2004, for the second consecutive year, National Bank of Dubai was chosen the Best Bank in UAE by Global Finance Magazine.

And for the seventh time, National Bank of Dubai received the "Quality Recognition Award" from JP Morgan Chase Bank in recognition of the high level of accuracy in money transfering procedures.
