ENOC – 'ENERGY PARTNER OF CHOICE'With over a decade of experience during which Emirates National Oil Company – ENOC – successfully lived up to it s mission of being the ‘Name Behind Dubai’s Future,’ thi s multi-disciplined group has now evolved to be ‘The Energy Partner of Choice’ across numerous upstream and downstream sectors. Today ENOC, a wholly owned Dubai Government company, is a leading force for economic diversification within the UAE operating 28 active subsidiaries and joint ventures – many forged with key international blue chip organisations. The Group’s interests range from retail to real estate, from shipping to aviation. Together with its subsidiary – Emirates Petroleum Products Company (EPPCO) LLC – the Group operates the most comprehensive network of service stations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and terminal facilities. The latest edition to the growing ENOC stable is GEM – Gulf Energy Maritime PJSC – a new $430 million joint venture clean petroleum product tanker company – and the largest joint venture the Group has participated in to date. Headquartered in Dubai, GEM has a fleet of two double hull Panamax vessels with four more under construction by Hyundai Heavy Industries for delivery in 2005. GEM is 35 per cent owned by ENOC, 30 per cent by Abu Dhabi-based International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), 30 per cent by Oman Oil Company and five per cent by Thales, under the UAE Offset Programme. The investment reflects ENOC’s commitment to Dubai’s growth as a global shipping hub. In the air, ENOC Aviation and the Middle East’s first ISO 9002-certified aircraft refuelling operator, EPPCO Aviation, play a pivotal role at Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah international airports with sales exceeding 100 million US gallons per annum. ENOC is guided by a philosophy of quality and professional management, based on modern business concepts that ensure successful and sustainable growth. From its I.T. division, Global Technology Services (GTS), to its travel subsidiary ENOC Travel International (ETI) and from pioneering Emirates Gas to international joint ventures, ENOC remains the ‘Energy Partner of Choice.’
