R. Douglas Dowie is the General Manager of the National Bank of Dubai and Director for National Bank of Dubai Trust Company (Jersey) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NBD. Mr. Dowie was Advisor to the President Director of an Indonesian Engineering Group in Jakarta before joining National Bank of Dubai as General Manager on 31st May 1999. Mr. held senior executive positions with Standard Chartered Bank (Eastern Bank Ltd) including Chief Executive UAE, Chief Executive, Indonesia; Chairman, PT Standard Chartered Indonesia and Chief Advisor, PT Bank Pembangunan. With thirty six years of international management experience Mr. Dowie specializes in Change Management and Strategic Business Development.
