Dr. Abdulkhaleq Abdulla is a professor of Political Science at Emirates University, Dorector of Al Khaleej Research Center and member of Dubai Cultural Council, He holds a PhD in Political Science from Georgetown University and an MA from American University in Washington. He was a Fulbright Scholar and visiting professor at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University. He attended seminars and lectured at universities and research centers around the world including the US, Europe, the Arab World, Australia and Japan. His research interests include issues of political changes in the Gulf and the Arab World, Gulf Security, contemporary issues of Arab Gulf States and international relations. Dr. Abdulla is the author of 6 books and has published more than 30 articles, the latest, “The US and Gulf Security Dilemma” was published in 2004.
